He is an Economist from the University of Washington and before living in Central America had developed his career in the United States as an executive of an advertising agency. He went to Honduras as a result of a combination of careful planning and a natural disaster. Hurricane Mitch hit during the week he was visiting as part of his master’s degree in history and economic development of Central America. Recognizing a sign when he saw it, he moved to Honduras, where he spent a year and a half as a volunteer working on a community reconstruction and development project. Since 2003 he has been the Director of Strategic Planning at Common Hope.
Jeff has been an important advisor for the Association for Leadership in Guatemala since its foundation and as a member of the Faculty, facilitates sessions related to strategic thinking within the Diploma in Leadership and Collaboration.
